Rhinoplasty (nose)

Rhinoplasty (the operation commonly called a nose job) is among the most popular plastic cosmetic surgery procedure performed. A nose that is out of balance, curved, or too big will draw emphasis away from the eyes and be a focus of the face. The cosmetic goal in rhinoplasty is to enable the nose to blend naturally along with the rest of the facial attributes and become unnoticeable. Turned up, scooped out noses that were popular a generation ago, are no longer desired. Today’s attractive nose is fuller, stronger, and a lot more elegant.

The nose is different in that it also serves a critical purpose: it helps you to breathe. Often, patients having rhinoplasty also have difficulty breathing. For those who have this problem or have nasal allergies, there’s a chance you’re a candidate for a functional rhinoplasty. At the time of your visit, Dr. Hussainy can go over this with you in more detail. In some situations, your insurance company may provide benefits for a portion of the procedure. The cost for the cosmetic portion, however, will not be covered

Rhinoplasty surgery can take between 1 to 4 hours. Each patient differs and Dr. Hussainy will discuss your surgery with you during your consultation. Dr. Hussainy will talk about your surgery with you during your consultation. Dr. Hussainy utilizes a gentle sculpting technique meaning there isn’t any major bruising and swelling right after surgery. Following a procedure there is very little to no discomfort; however, many people take a week to recover while a splint stays in position. It is important that you avoid heavy exercise for at least two weeks following surgery

Rhinoplasty can take up to a year to see the final result since the nose settles and takes shape during this period. You’ll see Dr. Hussainy multiple times during the first year following your surgical procedure.
